This course aims to provide students with an understanding of the role that Strategic Human Resource Management (SHRM) plays within comparative / competitive international / cross-cultural business contexts. The objective of this course is to provide students with an understanding of the primary purposes and principles that are fundamental to contemporary Strategic International Human Resource Management (SIHRM). To this end, the course also addresses emerging trends and issues in the global economy, the impact of the changing local and global business environments on organisational effectiveness, and the implications of these global trends, issues and changes for managing people and their work.
