MSA Student Advisory - Spring 2021

Dear Students,
We trust that this advisory finds you safe and healthy. We also hope that your online studies have become less challenging thus far, and you are ready to apply the knowledge gained to handle your upcoming Mid Semester Assessments. We have provided valuable information below to guide you throughout your Mid Semester Assessment period.
Please note:
  2. Mid Semester Assessments (MSA) will be held in the week of February 21 - 27, 2021
  3.  MSAs will be administered during your regular 2 hours class time.
  4. MSAs will be done on the Moodle platform.
  5. It is expected that academic integrity will be practiced by all students sitting in mid-semester assessments. You are expected to complete your assessments yourself and without assistance.
If you have challenges with the internet connectivity or the Moodle platform during your MSA, ensure that you proceed as follows:

Send an email to your lecturer and copy the online department (, providing evidence of difficulties experienced during the administration of your assessment. All such emails should also include:

  • Full Name
  • Student ID number
  • Phone number
  • Affected Course or Assessment

     2.Try to take screenshots of what you have done that you are having challenges submitting and email along with any other information about the assessment that you are having challenges completing on the Moodle platform.

     3. Ensure that all of this is done within 15 minutes of the end of the assessment.

You will not need an examination permit or student ID to sit your Mid Semester Assessments on Moodle.
If you have multiple MSAs on the same day, specifically students who study on Sundays and you foresee challenges in completing these on time, reach out to the Online team via email to ( or ( no later than Tuesday, February 16th, 2021.
