Course Objectives
The University College of the Caribbean (UCC) offers the Associate of Science Degree in Accounting & Financial Management. This programme will prepare the graduate for entry level careers in banking, accounting and finance and provides a superb platform for advanced studies. You can also earn on-the-job promotions or credits that may lead to employment opportunities in the business community. Benefit from the advantage of being able to transfer to a bachelor’s degree programme offered through the UCC or an institution of your choice.

- Instructions will be provided by an eminent and highly qualified team of local faculty and other professionals. Overseas/international guest lecturers will be utilised where appropriate
Target Group
This degree programme is specially designed for persons:
- Who are seeking to build a career path in banking, insurance or other areas for the financial and accounting industries and provides a sound base on which to pursue advanced general or specialist studies
- Who have recently left high school who wish to pursue a career in the field

Admission Requirements
- Minimum 5 GCE O’Level or CXC subjects with passes at A, B or C / 1 or 2 (including English Language and Mathematics). Participants with CXC passes at level 3 since 1998 (or in place of a CXC or GCE pass in Math, possess a pass in UWI EC080 Remedial Mathematics) are also eligible. Participants without the required pass in a numerate subject must register to attend O’Level/CXC Math classes as a co-requisite
- Other qualifications that may be considered by the Admissions Department as equivalent
- Relevant experience in a managerial position will usually be considered in addition to the above
Class Structure
- Part-Time: Early Bird (Mornings), Evenings or Sunday
Student Loans
Applicants may apply for an international student’s loan through the International» Curriculum & Instructional Finance Corporation (IEFC) in the USA or Canada. No collateral or security is required, but interested applicants will need to identify a US or Canadian co-signer to guarantee the loan. Application forms and brochures are available at UCC offices.
