Library and Information Centre
The UCC library is an academic and specialized information unit designed to:
• Support the Curriculum
• Provide our users with reading, studying, reference and research resources, aided by a variety of media in order to adequately meet their information needs, particularly in the areas that support the curriculum.
MISSION STATEMENT OF THE UCC LIBRARY
To effectively support the institutional and research programmes of the University College of the Caribbean by providing faculty, staff and students with relevant information resources through a variety of media with efficiency.

SUNDAY
9:00 am – 4:30 pm
MONDAYS – THURSDAYS
8:30 am – 10:00 pm
FRIDAYS
8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Should there be any changes in the opening hours of the library, students will be notified in advance.
ACCESS AND USE
In order to use the library’s facilities, a valid student ID must be presented. An updated pass and photo ID will be accepted in the absence of a student ID card.
VISITOR ACCESS
UCC welcomes the use of its collections by researchers and scholars not affiliated with the University. Please contact the Library to make arrangements for visitor access.
LIBRARY COLLECTION
The library provides access to both print and electronic resources, inclusive of:
• Texts
• Projects
• Past Papers
• Newspaper Clippings
• Periodicals
• Encyclopaedias
• CDs and DVDs
The library’s collection of books is divided into three (3) categories:
• General Lending Collection
• Reserved Book Collection (RBC)
• West Indian Collection (WIC)
