UCC Academic Centres


 

Main Campus Kingston – 17 Worthington Avenue, Kgn 5Corporate HeadquartersThe UCC facility at 17 Worthington Avenue consists of 17,000 square foot of space sitting on lush 2 1/2 acres of land. This facility has four main structures that house administrative offices, lecture rooms, a computer laboratory, a library, canteen and bookshop. Office Hours
The office is open for regular business Mondays through Thursdays between 7:00am-7:00 pm, Fridays

Computer Resources

Lab with 24 Desktop PC equipped with  internet access
Library with 8 desktop PC equipped
Wireless Internet (Wi-Fi) access throughout the campus.
Audio Visual (AV) equipment aids for the delivery of classes. This includes Laptops,

Multimedia Projectors, DVD/VCR Players, P.A. System

Class Schedules

The centre offers the flexible option of studying in the morning, day or evening with classes are scheduled between

7:00am-9:00am(Earlybird), 9:00am-4:30pm(Day),  and 6:30pm-8:30pm(Evening).

The office is open for regular business Mondays through Thursdays between 7:00 am-7:30pm, Fridays 8:30am-4:30pm,

and Sundays from 8:30 am-4:30 pm

16 Oxford Terrace, Kgn 5

The UCC Facility located after the intersection of Old Hope Road and Oxford Road, the centre is comprised of  administrative and spacious and comfortable lecture facilities as well as a canteen.

The centre offers the flexible option of studying in the evening with classes are scheduled between 5:30 and 8:30 pm (Mondays to Thursdays) and/or on Sundays 8:00 a.m to 6:00 p.m

34 Old Hope Road, Kgn 5

This centrally located, air-conditioned facility at 34 Old Hope Road in Kingston consists of over 10, 000 square feet of space divided between two floors and is partitioned into lecture rooms and computer laboratory.

Montego Bay: The UCC Montego Bay centre has been in operation since 1993. The Centre is located on the ground floor of the Van Haze Building at 16 East Street in that city. The 3,500 sq. ft. ground floor is partitioned into five (5) lecture rooms, a computer laboratory, a resource centre, a reception area, administrative offices, bathroom facilities and storage areas. The facility is centrally air-conditioned.
Lecture Rooms
There are four lecture rooms at Ocho Rios Centre which can accomodate 25-50 persons.

Computer Resources
The computer lab currently has 20 machines.

Administration
The Centre is managed by a Centre Manager assisted by a Student Services Officer & Ancillary Officer.

The office is open for regular business Mondays through Thursdays between 12 pm and 8:30 pm, and Sundays from 8:30 am-5:30 pm

OCHO RIOS CENTRE:

The new Ocho Rios Centre is located at 99 Main Street, Ocho Rios.

The centre has two (2) floors. The 1st Floor houses: an Information Technology Lab (can accommodate 24 persons), 2 Lecture rooms, Manager’s office, Male/female restroom, Waiting area, Study area, Library (Resource room), Front Desk. On the 2nd Floor there are 4 lecture rooms, Male/female restrooms, Book centre, Snack shop, Eating area, Study area as well as a Faculty lounge. Classes commenced at the new facility on January 9, 2011.

Administrative Hours
Prospective applicants may visit the centre during our regular business hours: Mondays through Fridays between 12:00 noon and 8:30 p.m.

The University College of the Caribbean first began operating an academic centre in Ocho Rios from the Ocho Rios High School in 1993 with the Associate of Science Degree in Business Administration programme.

MANDEVILLE CENTRE: The UCC Mandeville facility caters to the needs of central Jamaica and utilizes a number of classrooms at Belair High School in Mandeville.

Lecture Rooms
The centre utilizes comfortable facilities at Belair High School which can accommodate between 35 and 50 students.
